closer battle than i expected, honestly. hard to judge.

MV’s creativity is always on brand in his punchlines. the weeds/vegetation segue into the reanimation punch using the term “composite” was fucking crazy. the layered meaning of a single word really carried the punch, cuz composite can refer to plants but also to an artistic rendering: thus, reanimating. dope.

Slayerrrrr had a very good showing here. the setup connected well with the punch’s execution & it was pretty funny & relevant since january is the get outta debt month. i liked the burning lust/earn a crust multi & the going down like decorations to make money is premium lulz.

this battle was hard to judge because i’m partial to current event references & both had those. i’m also partial to creative word usage & humor.. & both had that as well. both knew how to capitalize on the moment & deliver solid blows.

in the end i had to go with the more creative punch, which was MV’s, the execution of that double metaphor was hard to beat, but that doesn’t take away from Slayerrrr’s punch cuz that shit was slick & funny.

closest to a loss i’ve seen MV take since i been here so that says a lot.

vote: MV, but by a VERY slim margin.
